Editorial Policy

The journal Trudy Instituta Matematiki i Mekhaniki UrO RAN publishes original papers of theoretical nature in modern areas of mathematics and mechanics.

Since the journal comprises diverse subject matters within its scope, the Editorial Board recommends that authors should give the problem statement and give definitions of basic notions used in their study in the beginning of the manuscript. New results should be clearly formulated, and mathematical statements should be proved. Proofs must not contain results from unpublished or accepted for publication papers. The journal does not accept methodological papers. The journal may publish review articles ordered by the Advisory Board.

All manuscripts submitted to Trudy Instituta Matematiki i Mekhaniki UrO RAN are peer-reviewed. The Editorial Board has developed "Regulations on Reviewing", which include the reviewing procedure and reviewer’s guidelines.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to discontinue further discussion with authors.

After the appearance of an issue, the Editorial Board sends to the authors of each published article a PDF file identical to the printed version. Subscribers are sent an issue of the journal (subscription is available for any half-year).

The Editorial Board may decide to include an article into a translated issue of Trudy Instituta Matematiki i Mekhaniki published by MAIK Nauka/Interperiodica as a supplement to Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics (under the title "Selected Articles from Trudy Instituta Matematiki i Mekhaniki UrO RAN"). The editor of English issues is Candidate of Physics and Mathematics Ekaterina Vasil’eva.
